A licensed clinician and doctoral student who spent years watching capable people name their values and still feel stuck when it came time to decide. SageGrove is the framework she built to close that gap: a way to see how values actually function, not another list to file away.
In the room, the exercise always ended the same way. Someone could list what mattered to them, honesty, family, freedom, and then sit in silence when a real decision asked them to choose between two of them.
The list told them who they wanted to be. It never told them which value was load-bearing, which one they were quietly starving, or why a good choice still felt wrong.
Petra kept reaching for a tool that showed values in motion. She could not find one, so she built it.
“I wanted a tool that would help me see myself fully, and then support me in navigating life on my own terms.”
Values behave less like a checklist and more like a living ecosystem.
Map them that way, and the hard decisions finally have somewhere to stand.
Treat values as a list and you stop at who you want to be. Treat them as an ecosystem, and you can finally see how to be.

Petra has carried the framework across two countries, from private workshops to the university lectern, teaching practitioners to read values the way an ecologist reads a forest.
